When San Francisco-based gallerist and sexual revolutionary, Madison Young, brings her dominant back home to Southern Ohio to meet her conservative family, she is forced to hide the life that she has made for herself and confront the shadows of the past that inspired her to leave in the first place.

Written and directed by award winning filmmaker and author - Madison Young and produced by Award Winning film producer Laura Wagner(Fremont).

This is a story of seeking belonging and finding it with in ourselves.

Facing our past with love and compassion, in order to blaze a new trail into the future.

Based on the real life characters of Young’s life and memoir - we follow this bold feminist voice into the the heartland as Madison goes in search of a part of herself that’s been left behind.

Young’s memoir has garnered praises from cinematic luminaries such as Academy Award Winner Diablo Cody who says of Young’s story “Madison Young goes deep and brings some universal truths to light”.   

 While Margaret Cho calls Young’s work “Downright Inspirational” and Academy Award Nominated actress, Maggie Gyllenhaal notes Young’s intimate story as “Radical.”

 This earthy cinematic exploration of Young’s deep roots illuminates her childhood spent in a small pastoral town as she comes face to face with a world that lives in fear of difference.
